Just when you thought it is safe on the Internet, the 4A Examiner, which used to occupy a humble little space in the corner of a classroom in St Gabriel's Secondary School, returns to haunt you on this global forum.
The aim of this web-site is for our class to keep each other informed of what has been happening to us since we left SG over a decade ago. It will be different from the normal paper newsletters because I will continuously add stuff into this page as I receive updates. Some of the stuff I put up here may be out-dated by the time you read it, so do please let me know if you can update me on anything here.
I have prepared a contacts page to house the contact particulars of those who are not contactable via the Internet. Email me for the url.
In the meantime, I have created a Yahoo Club Message Board for us to exchange gossip etc. Do check it out and join in. The url is:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stgabrielssingaporealumni/
On this page, I have included the links of organisations which have web-pages on the Internet, reflecting the growing acceptance of this medium. But then I cannot guarantee that the links remain valid. Please email me should you encounter any deadlink.
You might also want to have a look at the other St Gabriel's Schools I found on the Internet :
Oh, and don't forget to check out a much more sophisticated website by a St Gabriel's class five years our junior. But I am not sure if it is still working.
I used to keep a record of our classmates in this part of the webpage. Recently, a good friend reminded me that the nature of the Internet has changed rather substantially since this webpage was first created more than a decade ago.
Over the years, the balance which used to be concern over lack of information has tilted towards concerns over privacy and permanence of record. Not only has search engines gotten much better, the Internet's reach has grown tremendously and there are growing concerns about how Internet content can be abused.
In short, I am leaving this webpage around for people to keep in contact. With effect from 31st December 2006, I have moved the description of our friends to a different webpage.
Do drop me a note below to get in touch.
Please send me all that has happened to you so that I can put it up on this space. Simply drop me a note using the form below:
